UGMC Staff advised to focus on proper planning- Dr. Osei

The management of  UGMC have organized a  staff durbar to create a platform for management to officially inform staff about the scaling up of services at the Centre from November 2019. The durbar also offered an opportunity to solicit feedback from staff on issues that were of interest to them.

The Director of Human Relations at the Centre, Mr.  Francis Kyereboah introduced the new management members and heads of department to the staff.

The CEO of the UGMC, Dr. Darius Osei, in his address, congratulated all employees on their well-deserved appointments and indicated that all staff would be undergoing various levels of training after which the following services were going to be added to the Paediatric, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Family Medicine OPD clinics  currently  in operation at  the Centre: 

Ultrasound Scanning services
 Mammogram services
 Emergency Medicine
Gastroenterology
 Dermatology
 Ophthalmology
 General Surgery
Cardiology
Mum and Baby Centre

Dr. Osei advised all staff to be patient and  focus on  proper planning with regard to their various work schedules in order to avoid unnecessary firefighting in the near future. He further advised them to among other things, respect the channels of communication, identify reliable colleagues to work with and be always prepared for meetings as and when necessary.

Other management members and heads of departments also took turns to deliver their statements of assurance as well as commitment to perform to the staff.
