Research Interest

My research interests focus on international, women, and children’s health. I enjoy helping women and children with their health needs. On a broader level, my research interests focus on the health of women and children in developing cultures.  Though the health of women and children has become an increasing concern around the world, comparative studies addressing the issue across various countries and cultures and discussing the practices in different countries and cultures have rarely been produced.  I see a need to fill this gap.  Thus, I hope to develop a rigorous research agenda that seeks to investigate and compare the ways in which the health of women and children in different developing societies and cultures are viewed and addressed.  My goal is to contribute towards building a healthy global environment. And my special academic interest is to expose students to global health issues and ways to address them.
